David Cockerell designed one of the earliest synthesizers produced in the United Kingdom. The Synthi was introduced in the late 1960s by EMS Ltd. The unit, which came in a case with a KS keyboard, used patch cords to root reverb and ring modes. David also included two oscillators both with shape and level controllers as well as a frequency control. The design marked the beginning of many contributions to the industry over the years including his work on guitar effects pedals for Mike Matthews in the 1980s.

Celebrating a very successful year, EVE has released its new range of four-way speakers and subwoofers at Musikmesse 2013. Like all EVE speakers, the four-way models come with an AMT tweeter and standard DSP. Included in the 4-way series are the SC407 and SC408, utilizing 6.5” and 8” bass driver elements respectively.
Also introduced are the ThunderStorm series subwoofers, which offer four models, including the TS107, TS108, TS110 and TS112. Every subwoofer comes with a wireless remote that allows for optimum control of subwoofer level, overall system level and subwoofer bypass/full range operating mode.

AirHarp is the result of a weekend hacking session with a Leap Motion dev board. Leap Motion is a highly precise and responsive motion tracking device, making it a perfect tool for expressive musical interactions.

Original released in 1978, the semi-modular monophonic machine became the favorite due to its synthesis and self-oscillating filter, capable of squealing effects and bubbling leads that gave a distinctive tone.
So yes, Korg have recreated the classic MS-20. At 86% of the size, but all exactly like the original, the MS-20 is a two-VCO, two-VCA, two-VCF mono synth with a single LFO and two envelopes.
All front panel controls have remained with the patch bay moving from 1/4” to 3.5mm jacks. -To my own taste it should remaint the 1/4” connector for the output line.
Also Korg have added a dedicated MIDI and USB, both input only.

Professor Herb Deutsch, synth pioneer and collaborator of Bob Moog, visited the Moog Machine Shop during Moogfest 2012. While here, Professor Deutsch explored Moog’s next generation analog synthesizer, while still in it’s research & design phase. In the past, Bob Moog always tested his ideas, instruments and sounds with musicians and colleagues. This spirit of collaboration continues at the Moog factory to this day and is essential to our work.
